Burl Birch Coffee table by Bruno Mathsson

Bruno Mathsson was born in 1907 in Värnamo and spent much of the 1920s and 1930s studying the functional possibilities of wood, this blonde birch table is one of his well-known designs going into production 1966. This particular piece was manufactured in 1977 featuring a round Karelian Birch surface finished with rounded edges, curved tapered bent plywood legs. Stamped Bruno Mathsson, Firma Karl Matthson, made in Sweden.
