Our show room shows off a collection of European designer pieces. From chairs to tables, from sofas to sideboards, Vampt has it all; and did you know we can source furniture for you? Every year we import huge containers of mid-century furniture, if you have your’ eyes on something abroad, let us know and we’ll source it for you.
Australian designer Grant Featherston (1922-1995) is considered one of Australia’s best known designers and his furniture has enjoyed somewhat of a renaissance over the last decade as mid-century design aficionados have turned the spotlight on his distinctive and sculptural Contour Range from the mid-1950s. Featherston and his wife Mary formed a design partnership in 1966 and went on to win many Good Design Awards.

Børge Mogensen (1914-1972) contributed hundreds of notable and outstanding pieces to the canon of Danish design. Working predominantly in wood, Mogensen’s designs are driven by an almost scientific analysis of functionality as he never bowed to the whimsy of fashion or expensive materials. Instead, strong and simple lines are a recurrent design element throughout Mogensen’s work as he subtly updated and reinvented traditional forms.
Charles and Ray Eames
Charles (1907-1978) & Ray Eames (1912-1988) were two stars of the post-war American design scene – one of the most innovative design periods in history. The influential husband and wife team (Charles a trained architect and Ray a trained artist) contributed to all fields of design with innovative pieces that sought to bring good design to the masses. They created an “Eames look” that is modern, playful, functional, and sophisticated.
