One name that springs to mind when you think of Danish design is Hans Wegner. To Wegner, a chair isn’t just a piece of furniture, but a work of art made to support the human form. European designers emigrated to Brazil in the 1950/60s and influenced the design aesthetic. Here we are lucky to have examples by two such designers - Polish born Jorge Zalszupin and Hungarian born Zoltan Vertes.

The Manhattan armchairs by Zalszupin are quite sought after, with a low stance and sleek midcentury lines, teamed up with an Atomic dry bar with a tiled front by ceramicist and sculptor Vertes. In the background we have an Italian 3 headed arc floorlamp to further highlight shape and line.
