Fabricius and Kastholm
Danish design team Preben Farbricius (1931-1984) – a trained cabinetmaker – and Jørgen Kastholm (1931-2007)- a blacksmith – are renowned for their sleek, stylish furniture that combines the functionalism of 1920s German modernism with the form and comfort of 1960s Danish design. They designed functional furniture with innovative shapes, minimalist materials, and ergonomic forms because, as Kastholm said, “the simplest lasts the longest.”
